After many checks of various weather apps and forecasts, 14 ladies played golf in Storm Bram, in the rain, some sunshine, quite a bit of wind, all in the effort to win the illustrious Turkey Trot trophy and other prizes.

The sun shone for these photos, but the sky looked particularly black in the distance beyond the 6th - the direction from which the weather was coming ...!

Following golf, 32 ladies enjoyed a couple of rounds of Bingo in the marquee before lunch and as Storm Bram continued to blow and pour rain down! We were then served a delicious lunch with lovely Christmas Cake made by Katie and tablet by Hilary to go with our teas/coffees. Fiona and her team worked very hard and the kitchen team produced a beautiful array of dishes.

We all guessed the weight of another cake raising money for 'Uppertunity' and collected donations from the ladies to replace the old Secret Santa gifts of old. Well done Anne who guessed the closest at 3lb 1.5 oz. The cake raised £49 and Lesley is still totting up the donations. So a huge thank you to all of you.

Our best Bingo player was Cathy who scooped the most treats with her lucky numbers (once your callers got themselves sorted out!)

The afternoon was finished off by a lovely sing song led by Avril and Lesley R, with an extra surprise with Lesley's new composition 'The Committee Outing'! Very funny and very well done to Lesley R - hidden talents!
