COMMONWEALTH SPOONS RESULTS
Not the best of days to be playing golf, however what can be said is that Killin Golf Course was absolutely beautiful, a hidden gem. I was totally impressed with both the scenery and the excellent condition of this super little 9 hole course. Pity the weather didn't match it!
Although none of our ladies made it to the top 4 places, we didn't fair badly. The winners were mother and daughter pairing Caroline and Karen Dunbar (Aberfeldy) who scored 67 1/2. Other scores were as follows:
1st Caroline and Karen Dunbar (Aberfeldy) 67.5
2nd Moira Chapman and Dorothy Whytock (King James V1) 70.5
3rd Liz Miskimmin and Dorothy Benzies (Auchterarder) 72
4th Joan Ritchie and Sandy Young (Auchterarder) 72
Strathmore members Annette Grewar and Rhona McGeoghegan just missed out on a place with 72.5 and both Sheena Peacock and Joan Merry and Dawn Butchart and her partner Janet Griffiths had 73.5.
Remember and get your entries in for Alyth which is on the 12 June.

RESULTS FROM COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP
Marion Robertson was the only Strathmore player to make it to the semi finals of the County Championship which was held at Blairgowrie Golf Club this weekend. Marion won a very close quarter final against Fiona Johnston (Alyth) at the 21st hole. On Sunday she played Carol Turner (Alyth) (picture above) and although played very well, lost 3 &2. Carol went on to win the Final in the afternoon. It has to be said that Marion did have a super caddy in Rhona McGeoghegan who kindly assisted Marion on both days.
Lucy Gilmore lost her match in the handicap section against Janey Heaney (Callander) and Dawn Butchart who qualified in the scratch section was beaten by the number one seed Jacqueline Snedon (Alyth). The eventual winner was squad member Jillian Milne (Craigiehill) who beat Jane Yellowlees (Murrayshall) on the 18th green by 2 holes.
Full results are available on the P&K Website and Gillian Kirkwood site, the links for both are on the right of this screen.
Well done Marion and well done to Lucy and Dawn for qualifying.

CONGRATULATIONS MARION!!
Marion Robertson is top seed in the Handicap Section of the Perth and Kinross County Championship. When all of us struggled round a blustery Landsdowne course Marion was one of only three players, out of the 114 who took part, to score below their handicap. Well done Marion.
Strathmore also have another two players who have reached the finals. Lucy Gilmour also qualified for the last eight of the handicap and Dawn Butchart qualified in the Scratch section of the competition.
The handicap section will play one round on Saturday and the winners will go through to the semi finals on Rosemount on Sunday morning and the final in the afternoon. The scratch section have 16 qualifiers and will play two rounds of matchplay on both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday will be on Landsdowne and Sunday on Rosemount.
Every other lady will be pleased to hear that it was a reduction only competition, CSS 76. Therefore Marion will be the only lady to have her handicap adjusted. There is no need to return your scores to me.
Good luck to our three ladies on Saturday. I will keep you posted on their progress.
