STRATHMORE GOLF CLUB
JUNIORS ELIGIBILITY FOR COMPETITIONS

Following are the conditions for eligibility to partake in Club Competitions.

1. LADIES SECTION
Operate within the Congu Handicap Scheme. All females who have already attained their Congu Handicap are eligible to play in all competitions.
In future to qualify for a Congu Handicap a female must play to a 108, after Stableford adjustment.

2. GENTS SECTION
Juniors of any age provided they have a current Congu Handicap are permitted to play in any Wednesday Competition, as these competitions are not drawn.
Juniors who have attained the age of 15 and have a current Congu handicap will be permitted to play in Weekend Competitions.
NOTE. These arrangements will operate until the Gents Section A.G.M. on Friday 23rd October 2009. At this meeting the Gents Membership will decide on the future policy regarding Juniors eligibility to play in Gents Competitions.

3. MIXED COMPETITIONS
These competitions are open to all members with a current Congu Handicap, subject to the following arrangements.
a) Players under 15 years of age must be partnered by an adult member (over the age of 18).
b) Only one Junior will be permitted to play in each drawn Group.

Commonwealth Spoons Results Blair Atholl

Congratulations to Margaret Hunter and Sandy Bushby who won the Perth and Kinross County Ladies Commonwealth Spoons event at Blair Atholl with a nett 71.5. They have qualified for the finals on the 24th September at Longniddry.

Strathmore Ladies Away Day To Thornton Golf Club

A great day was had by all when the Strathmore Ladies went to Thornton Golf Club for their annual away day. The weather was kind to us because the Lady Captain stuck a feather in the ground which kept the rain away. Pictured below are all the different winners, but the overall winner of the day with the best score was Cathy McNab.

Well Done To Strathmore Ladies who played in the Perth and Kinross County Championship Knockout Finals.

Megan, Emily, Janet, Sandy, Alexandra, Dawn, Jenny and Hannah all took part at the weekend but sadly could not bring the trophies home to Strathmore. However, we do congratulate Carol Muir of Craigie Hill who won the scratch and Sandra Service of Alyth who won the handicap.

WHAT A WEEKEND FOR STRATHMORE LADIES!!

Yesterday, the County Championship qualifying round was held at Strathmore and no less than EIGHT Strathmore ladies qualified.

Megan and Emily Aird, Janet Griffiths, Sandy and Alexandra Bushby and Dawn Butchart all qualified in the scratch competition.

Jenny Groom and Hannah Robb qualified in the handicap section.

WHAT A MAGNIFICENT RESULT. WELL DONE TO THEM ALL.

Come and support them on Saturday at Strathmore - tee times are between 9.30 and 11.

Our very best wishes go with them.

Not only did Strathmore do well at the championships, but Margaret Hunter and Morag Woodcraft, who played in the regional finals of the medal winners, both won through to the Grand Final to be played at Crieff on Sunday, 7th June.
