Interclub Match with Alyth and Kirriemuir

Teams of three with Strathmore, Alyth and Kirriemuir played a Texas Scramble over 12 holes.  A good fun game was had by all, the winners with a great net score of 42 were Rhona McGeoghegan, Carole Cruikshank from Kirriemuir and Sandra Johnstone from Alyth.

Thanks to Connie for organising the teams and starting was made much easier with cards prepared by Sandra.

Hole in One!!

Well done to Alison McLaren today on her hole in one on the 13th. She didn't get to see it go in and spent some time looking for it before looking in the hole!! This was whilst playing in a tie against Annette. Congratulations Alison!.

For the eagle eyed amongst you that spotted the deliberate error in the email sent out re the Road to Turnberry. The qualifying date for the ladies should be 19/6/19 not 29/6/19  .Sorry!!

Kirsty, Megan and Amy have all played their way into the County Championship semifinals. Kirsty plays Megan and Amy meets a former Strathmore member Katy Alexander. There will definately be a Strathmore member in the final. Good luck to all.

We were very fortunate with the weather when we visited Kirrie on Thursday. Thanks to all who took part but unfortunately we were defeated 4-0.  However we all thoroughly enjoyed the day, the company and of course the food!! Winning isn`t everything!! It`s the taking part that counts.

There were 2 magic  2's scored by Fred Barber and Mark Melville.
In second place were last years winners Fred and Sandra Barber with 42 points but it's well done with  a great total of 43 points to this years winners Jack and Sheena Scott.

Please note that the next mixed competition on the 19th of May is the Fraser fours  and the format is a texas scramble with teams and tee times being drawn on Wednesday the 15th, so even if you don't have a partner please sign up.
