Post Christmas Texas Scramble

Thanks to the hardy souls who turned up to play the post Christmas Texas Scramble. Due to the weather it was touch and go as to whether it went ahead. After a lovely wee mince pie and coffee the rain eased and 12 die hards had a lovely game. It was ladies against the gents and unfortunately the team of Mark, Mark and Fred came out winners! The scores were all very close!
Remember we will be doing it all again on Thursday 2nd !! See you there and hope you have a lovely New Year.

Christmas!

It is that time of year again and I would like to wish all ladies at Strathmore a very healthy and happy Christmas and New Year.
To help burn off your Christmas dinner remember the mixed texas scramble on Friday 27th at 11.00 .A draw will be made on the day so roll up in plenty of time and sample a wee mince pie !

Turkey Trot

A big thank you to all who helped make today go so well. Although a bit chilly at least we got to play golf and enjoyed our meal thereafter.
To Katie for a delicious cake. Anne for filling her socks , Sally for ensuring pass the parcel went smoothly and Rhona and Eleanor for leading the sing song. Rena for dealing with scores. Thanks too for donation of prizes and to all who helped in many ways.

LADIES TURKEY TROT

11TH DECEMBER  2019


On a cold and rainy day 26 hardy ladies took to the course for our annual Turkey Trot. Regardless of the weather conditions there were some very good scores. The golf was followed by a great Christmas Dinner, Carol Singing and Game playing.  The whole day was a great success and gave us the opportunity to catch up with friends who have been unable to play with us this year.

Results of the Competition:
Winner Cathy McNab with 26 points

Second Roslyn Hall with 25 points

Third Sandra Barber, Ann Baird and Janet Griffiths all with 23 points.

Many thanks to Katie for baking the Christmas Cake which we all enjoyed with our coffee.
Congratulations to Gillian for guessing the weight of the cake and winning the wine which was kindly donated by Sandra.

Funeral Arrangements.

I now have the details of Val's funeral arrangements. This will take place at Dundee Crematorium on Tuesday 17th Dec at 13.30. Thereafter to the Invercarse Hotel Dundee. Family flowers only but collection in aid of Roxburgh House.
