As a follow on from the winter knockouts post, this is to advise you that the start of the winter league will be delayed until the week of 2nd Nov. This will bring the start in line with the new handicapping system which is becoming active then. ( don't worry re the new system ! All will be revealed in due course) . Just continue to hit that wee white ball whatever happens! ( other colours are available!!)

We have put up a post on the sign up blog for the Doubles and Singles Winter Knockouts. Please enter your names by 23rd October and the draw will take place and be published the following week. Due to the ongoing Covid situation the committee have decided not to collect winter competition fees this year. This will be a one off and will be reconsidered next year when hopefully we can return to some form of normality.
The next mixed event is this Sunday!! Exact format to be decided. ( Suggestions invited) .Get signed up at the club or message Sandra/Fred . Whatever the format it will be a fun day.

37 ladies and gents braved the rather early, cold and frosty morning start. However, the sun did come out with ideal conditions for playing golf. The results are as follows:
1st Gwen Doe 39pts
2nd Ian McIntosh 38pts
3rd Margaret Anderson 36pts
There was only one two recorded - Sheena Scott at 6th.
As you will all understand, due to the imposed restrictions, the committee has decided that there will be no formal AGM and Prizegiving this year.
We will send an email to all club members with the reports from the committee. (Those with no e mail access will receive a written copy). The new committee will also be published as well as the competition winners list. Trophies will of course be engraved.
Hopefully this will allow the committee to move forward and prepare for next season.

The above individual stableford event takes place on Sunday with tee times from 8.00! All get signed up at the club or let Sandra / Fred know if you wish to play. This is a mixed competition but you play your own game. Come along and enjoy! Not long before it will be winter golf so make the most of it.
The winners with Net 58.0 were yet again Mark Tunstall,Sheila Bailey and Sally Fenner, this was Marks last competition before he leaves for Brauer, we all wish him and Lorna well.
A BIG THANKYOU you to everyone who donated to the SCAA charity with a grand total of £130 being raised.

On a very breezy (howling gale) afternoon. 28 players took part in the Fraser Fours, in very challenging conditions Mark Tunstall and Sheila Bailey won with a score of 70.8
