Thirty Ladies attended the Ladies AGM & Prizegiving last night, followed by a delicious meal. Congratulations to all the prize winners.
On what turned out to be a lovely Sunday afternoon, 27 players took part in the last mixed competition of 2021, as usual there was some very good scoring.
The winners were Diane & Gary McLuskey and Kevin Drysdale with a score of 57.5.
Second place was Linda Ross, Gavin Greig and Eric Gray with 58.84.
Third place was Christine Bruce, Fred Barber and Mark Melville with 59.67.
After the presentation 15 members stayed for a good meal, a very enjoyable afternoon.

This is a reminder of the last Mixed competition of the season, the sign up sheet is on the Mixed board at the clubhouse. Teams of three are required at £3 per team, we are hoping many of you will stay for a meal in the clubhouse after the golf.
If you can let myself or Sandra know, we will ensure tables are pre-booked.
PS The sign up sheet is on the board for the Winter doubles Knockout, entries must be in by the 30th October.

YELLOWSTONE
Stableford, teams of 3 players.
Each team has ONE yellow ball, so there will be 2 white balls and one yellow per team. The yellow ball is played in rotation by each team member. On each hole 2 scores count for each team. The yellow ball MUST be one of them. If the yellow ball is lost the team is out of the competition.

Just a quick reminder than the closing date for the Winter Knockouts is 16th October. So still time for entries!
A good turn out of 24 keen golfers played this event with good humour but definitely trying to win, we were very lucky with the weather and stayed dry.
After a very close fought match, Fred's team ran out the winners by 394 points to 386 points, the best score for the Ladies was Diane McLuskey 39 points and for the gents Kevin Drysdale 39 points, well done to everyone for making this a fun day.
Sandy McGibbon won nearest the pin on the 17th, no ladies managed to find the green on the 4th.

TEXAS SCRAMBLE
Strokeplay, teams of 3 – 4 players.
All players drive off each tee. The team then selects which drive to take and this is then marked. All players must play their ball from this spot. This process is then repeated until the ball is holed. The team score is then marked on the score card. (Balls can be placed on the fairway, but must be dropped in the rough).
Each player must have 3 drives (teams of 4), 4 drives (teams of 3) during the round and the card marker must keep note of the driver at each hole.
Handicap 1/6 of the combined handicaps for teams of 3
1/8 of the combined handicaps for teams of 4
