What a great day was had by all.  Unfortunately the buggies were not allowed out but that did not deter 27 of you from braving the cold and frosty weather - well done to you all.  Well done Liz on your win with a closely fought  2nd place by Mary - good scoring.

Well done to Lesley Redden for winning the  Christmas cake so kindly made for us by Katie, thanks Katie.

After the long awaited good food, and although time did run away with itself, that did not prevent the community singing element which some did better than others.  A special mention must go to Rhona McGeoghegan who managed to translate, Christmas Alphabet with ease.  A great laugh - well done Rhona!

Can I also thank all the committee who helped in making the day run so smoothly.  The day takes a lot of putting together and having a great team there makes life so much easier and enjoyable for us all, thank you.

Finally, without all of you and your kind contributions we would never have managed to raise such a large amount of money for the Captain's charity - Elder Voice, a total of £301.80 was raised.  Thank you everyone.

For those whom we may not see again until the New Year, may I wish you all a very Merry, safe and healthy Christmas.

WINTER LEAGUE UPDATE

 Ladies, the winter league is getting well underway with good participation. I would just like to remind everyone of the rules as we have several new members.

You can play and enter scores for 2 winter leagues a week. Ensure you SIGN IN pre play. You can change your eclectic scores on these days. ( you must play 18 holes to commence eclectic)

If you play a third round / or have not signed up for the winter league, you can still put your pound in for the sweep (if you wish) but DO NOT RECORD ON COMPUTER / SIGN IN / CHANGE ECLECTIC. 

The Monday competition is played as OWD (outwith the draw). This means the competition runs until the Saturday when it will be closed. This allows those who wish to play in the winter league to do so at any time from Mon - Sat as long as you have your card signed. If you plan to play OWD please let me know.  (and sign in).

The good news is bunkers are GUR and you get preferred lies on the fairway.

 Thirty five lady members attended the Annual AGM & Prizegiving last night at the clubhouse. Following the formalities of the evening, prizes from the Winter and Summer seasons were awarded. This was followed by a delicious meal served up by the centre. Thank you to all who attended.

 With a very good turn out for the last Mixed event of this season, the weather was very kind to us with sunshine the whole afternoon. With some good scoring by most Teams, the results are as follows:-

In second place with a very good score of 63.8, Christine Bruce, Sandy Clark and Mike Stiell.

Results of the NORSE CUP Competition Sunday 9th October

 On a blustery Sunday afternoon, 24 players braved the elements to compete for the Norse Cup, there was some very good scoring. It was decided to finish the competition at the 15th hole due to bad weather and rain coming in.

In 3rd place with 37 points Denise Saunders and Sandy McGibbon.

In 2nd place with 38 points Liz McLaughlin and Gary McLuskey.

The winners of the Norse Cup for 2022 were Diane McLuskey and Fred Barber with 41 points.
