Wooden Spoon and SCAA charity match 21st August

  Hi All,

          I have been instructed to say nice things (ordered by Gary) on the playing of the annual Wooden Spoon event, on a reasonably sunny afternoon this event was as usual hotly contested and some very good scores posted, this event was played sportingly and with some good banter. Congratulations to the Gents for winning by 8 stableford points and handing the Wooden Spoon back to the Ladies after a years absence.

We collected £164 for the SCAA charity, thanks to all for your generous donations to this very worthy cause.

If your partner has not played with us before, and is not on our system, you will be asked to enter their CDH number. The cost for the meal is £17.50 per person for two courses. LADY CAPTAIN’S DAY RESULTS

 On a dry but once again breezy day, 29 ladies played in Lady Captains Day 18 hole competition with a further 6 playing in the 9 hole competition. Results were very close at the top! Thank you to everyone who came along to help make the day a successful one. The course was looking great as always thanks to the greenkeeping team and the centre served up a lovely meal. Many thanks to Margaret Anderson and Liz McLaughlin for bringing along the delicious tablet to round off our meal. Sincere thanks to Connie for collating all the scores for the prize winners.
