Ladies' AGM 28th Oct 2026

Today we had a fun 9-hole team competition in favourable conditions. Well done to Mary West, Val Makinson, Sandra Barber and Tracey Gellatly, who won this morning.

Our AGM was held at 1pm where all the committee reports were read, Judy thanked all her committee during her report and gave flowers to each of them as a token of her appreciation.

Judy handed over to our new Ladies' Captain - Diane McLuskey. Badges were exchanged and photos were taken. The ladies proposed and seconded Diane as the new Captain; Lesley Redden as Diane's new Vice-Captain and Marjory Stewart as a new committee member, filling the place of Judy as she steps down.

Some of our trophies ...!

Prize-winners 2026

Judy read out a short speech sent in by Kirsty Brodie, who was unable to be in attendance to receive her trophy as Club Champion.  She shared a bit of her life in the Bahamas and thanked Judy and the Committee for all the work they have done for the ladies section and the club. The Committee presented Judy with a beautiful jug and a bouquet of flowers to thank her as she leaves the committee.

Lesley Redden shared in her financial report, the amazing generosity and effort of the ladies section in raising over £2,500 for the Captain's Charity 'Uppertunity'.  A presentation to them is to be arranged soon.

After the Prize-giving we all sat down to a very tasty 2-course meal enjoyed by all.

The Winter League starts next week and sign-ups are soon to close for winter knockouts.
