A successful day was had at the Ladies Open today. The weather eventually decided to play ball with the drizzle stopping early on to allow nearly all competitors get round dry in near perfect conditions. Results will follow soon.
Sincere thanks to Blackadders for their generous sponsorship of this event, with every player receiving a lovely trifold towel. Blackadders also donated spot prizes for Nearest the Pins, Longest drives, Magic Twos and Main prizes. Grateful thanks to Jane Millar for arranging this for us and to the lovely team of ladies who came along to assist on the day.
I would like to thank Sheena most sincerely for her excellent preparation and organisation allowing the day to run so smoothly. Very positive comments were received on the runnings of the day - Well done Sheena! Ann Cameron must be commended on having everyone’s handicaps calculated and ready on the morning.
Thanks also to Eric, Fred, Ian and Norman who gave up their day to help out with car parking, starting and registration. Your support was very much appreciated by the Ladies section.
My thanks must go to all ladies who volunteered to help on the day and to all who kindly donated raffle prizes. Your generosity was amazing!
Finally, I must thank David and the centre staff for all their support on the day. Scott and the greenkeeping team had the course in excellent condition too.
