Margaret Young Becomes A Champion!

Three Strathmore Lady members competed in the United Kingdom Public Course Championships at St Andrews yesterday.  We were delighted to hear Margaret Young announced as the National Ladies Champion!
Thirty ladies from all over the UK played in the Stableford competition taking on the windy and rather chilly conditions of the Eden Course.
This is a great result for Margaret and the Strathmore Ladies section in our first year of playing in the NAPGC  competition.

Commonwealth Spoons Scratch Winners.

Congratulations to Dawn and Emily who came in 1st Scratch and 2nd overall at the National Finals of the Commonwealth Spoons, played at Forres this week.

GENTS CLAIM VICTORY IN WOODEN SPOON

With the match scores being tied after all matches being completed, a nailbiting final green shoot out between Gents Captain Eric Gray and Lady Captain Kay Finlay took place in a Chipping/Putting decider on the 18th green with Eric holing a monster 20foot putt to claim victory.
