P&K COUNTY GIRLS CHAMPIONSHIP

Kirsty Brodie is the P&K County Girls Champion for 2017 and Megan Ashley won the Handicap Championship. Kirsty shot a scratch 74 over Pitlochry on Sunday and Megan picked up the Handicap Trophy with a nett 74.

Strathmore members did us proud as the first three Scratch players were all from Strathmore, Kirsty, Megan and Amy Mitchell and the first four Handicap places were Strathmore members Kirsty, Megan, Amy and Kirsten Miller.

P&K TEAM ANNOUNCED

Perth & Kinross Ladies County Golf Association have announced their team (8 players) who will represent the county at the Inter Team Championship at Nairn from Saturday June 17th through to Monday 19th. Two Strathmore girls Kirsty Brodie and Megan Ashley have been named as team members and Amy Mitchell has been named as a travelling reserve.

County Championships Results

Sheena Scott today won the handicap Gibb Trophy at Auchterarder cap Golf Club. Big congratulations!!

In the Handicap Championship (8 qualify) our 2 players Sheena and Cathy McNab unfortunately met each other in the  first round where Sheena progressed to the last 4. Sheena played this morning against Marion Forbes and won 2 & 1. She met home player Jan Rae this afternoon and after an extremely well fought match ,won the championship by one hole.

Saturdays scratch championship (16 qualify) saw Dawn and Amy knocked out in the first round but Megan Ashley and Kirstie Brodie progressed to the afternoon play. Kirsty lost out to Eilidh Watson however Megan won against Gwen Lambie.

Megan played this morning in the semi finals againsst Laura Walker and lost in a very close match. Eilidh Watson won the championship in the afternoon against Laura.

Well done Sheena and all our qualifying ladies.

The P & K County Finals took place yesterday at Auchterarder and the Strathmore Ladies did extremely well
with four members qualifying for the scratch knockout and 2 for the Handicap Section, Megan Ashley returned
a scratch 73 making her seed 2, Kirsty Brodie had a 74 seeded 4, Dawn Butchart 82 seeded 10 and
Amy Mitchell 84 seeded 12.  In the handicap section Sheena Scott and Cathy McNab seeded 4 & 5 unfortunately
will meet each other in the first round. The draw is as follows:
