MIXED INVITATION

Our Mixed Invitation was a huge success yesterday, with 52 players taking part it was also a fantastic turnout. Before we go into the results a few thank you's must be noted. Firstly Marion Robertson and Iain Butchart who put such a lot of hard work and effort into every mixed event most of which goes unseen. However the smooth running of all our mixed events certainly just shows how much effort they commit to the mixed section. Also thanks go to Jack Scott who printed all the signs for the spot prizes and the rules of the day for all the participants. Thanks also to Sheena Scott who produced all the Prize Vouchers and Envelopes plus along with Iain took care of all the entry fees and made sure we all got exactly what we wanted for food! Next thanks go to David Norman who organised all the excellent entertainment following our meal. This consisted of a Magician, a quiz and quiz master plus excellent folk music provided by Wedge and Skinner. Also thanks to the catering staff who made sure we were all looked after to a very high standard. The food and service was excellent. Well done all!

Now to the nitty gritty! The winners on the day were Jackie Moran and her partner with M Butler with 42 stableford points, well done Jackie! (I can see a trip to the 5th pond soon!) In second place by virtue of a better inward half was Sheena Scott and her partner M Melville with 41 points and in 3rd place was Iain Butchart and his partner Janet Griffiths also with 41. In fourth place again by virtue of a better inward half was Rhoda Fraser and her partner I Clark. Well done to all.
